Singer/songwriter John Mayer got himself into hot water this week with his Playboy interview.
No surprise there. He joins the ranks of Spencer Pratt and Kevin Federline on this one.
In his Playboy interview, Mayer frequently uses the N-word, talks about his sexcapades and refers to his penis as a white supremacist. Umm.... Excuse me?
These days, Mayer is becoming more well known for his offstage antics and “raw interviews”. What Mayer fails to realize is he has everything. The man is rich, famous and talented enough to earn a record deal. Why does he have to go on making a fool of himself over and over again? He is not “raw” or “real”; he is an ignorant celebrity who needs to know when to keep his mouth shut.
Mayer knew he was in hot water from the beginning, though. It has been reported that even before the interview had started, Mayer was quoted saying, “I think the world would be a lot better off if I stopped doing interviews.” Very good, John. Glad the light bulb finally clicked.
Oh, Hollywood, thank you so much for making men like John Mayer a star. So glad he is in my newspapers, on my television and in my life. Thank you.
In other deranged, Hollywood news, Lindsay Lohan is making headlines again. No, not for having a hit movie or a new lesbian relationship, but for a controversial magazine cover.
The starlet was featured on the cover of a French fashion magazine, Purple.
Well, at least one country still thinks she’s worthy enough to put on the cover.
The actress is featured in a white, long gown with a plunging neckline and a crown of thorns. The pose? You guessed it. Her arms are outstretched like Jesus Christ after his crucifixion.
Even though Lohan, according to her web biography, is Roman Catholic, many people in the Catholic community are outraged by the cover. Rightly so. The Catholic League is requesting an apology for the photo.
Lohan may want her fame back, but this is definitely the wrong way to do it. Lindsay, I’m begging you... just make a decent movie again and, maybe, just maybe, you will get some self- respect and dignity back.
